Garment

Magazine

Each year, about 35 students that are part of AMFI's honours programme Fashion & Editorial Branding get the unique opportunity to create an independent fashion magazine from scratch. The concept is always based on one garment, and in 2018 the magazine fully evolved around the suit – or actually, the [mis]suit.

Besides producing a print magazine, we created an additional website that was updated weekly with original and new content. In order to get the brand out there, we posted sneak previews of our magazine on Garment's Instagram, and we hosted several events to introduce our concept of the [mis]suit issue to as many people as possible.

2018

As a lead of the text team for both print and online I was responsible for all things text-related concerning the [mis]suit issue of Garment. I made sure to represent the members of the text team well in the meetings that were held together with the other leads, during which we brainstormed about the bigger picture and the concept of the magazine.

Besides writing for online and print, editing the final articles of the text-team and working closely with the Editor in Chief when proofreading all finished texts, I also arranged PR coverage in Metro paper and on Harper's Bazaar to get the magazine out there. During this project I proved to be a good team-worker and a responsible and organised lead.
